22 holiday apartments with parking and retail, blackpool

The proposals of 22no. 1, 2 and 3-bedroom luxury apartments with ground floor parking and retail units replace the existing vacant and dilapidated Hartes store building located within South Shore District Centre in Blackpool. A short distance from the beach front and Blackpool Pleasure Beach resort, it seeks to provide desirable serviced holiday accommodation across the three floors.

The new building follows the original footprint with a slight widening of the road on the ground floor to allow for a comfortable car park access. Its form and scale responds to varied surroundings whilst maximising the site potential. On the ground floor, it maintains an active frontage along Waterloo Road. Bond Street car park façade will feature metal mesh cladding with iconic Blackpool landmarks.
