This beautiful large Victorian property was in much need of some TLC. Together with our clients, we proposed to retain it as a residential dwelling but offer a more realistic solution to local housing needs and convert it to a total of eight apartments, comprising seven two-bedroom and one one-bedroom units. This included a conversion of its basement to accommodate two of the apartments, with addition of large terraces in form of lightwells.

The original layout and most of its Internal loadbearing walls have been retained as much as possible to minimise the impact of building work on the existing property. Externally, the architectural details were cleaned and retained, recapturing the buildings former glory.
